This project is made with local trees bent to form
the structural ribs. Solar panels provide electricity
and a greenhouse at one end purifies waste water using
solar aquatics. It houses a Mi'kmaq interpretive centre
and a classroom for Mi'kmaq studies. The long building is
designed to sit in the path of an abandoned roadway, to avoid
disturbing new ground in an area with many ancient burial sites.
